Michael Diedring is the executive director of the CEELI Institute in Prague, Czech Republic, a division of the American Bar Association. He has worked for over fifteen years in Central and East European development, living and working in Lithuania, Albania, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic as a lawyer, a banker, and as a postgraduate educator of legal and business professionals. In 1991, Dr. Diedring provided direct technical assistance to the drafters of the Lithuanian constitution, and, from 2002 to 2004, was deputy director of the International Bar Association. Dr. Diedring holds a B.F.A. in rhetorical speech from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa; and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, New York.
