Biography:
C. Judson KING, Berkeley, California C. Judson King is director of the Center for Studies in Higher Education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is also emeritus professor of chemical engineering and emeritus University of California systemwide provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. Dr. King joined the University of California, Berkeley in 1981 as dean of the College of Chemistry and later also served the University as provost of professional schools and colleges. His research Interests include separation processes for solutions and homogeneous mixtures, extraction and adsorption processes, and drying processes as well as research topics related to higher education, including technological innovation, scholarly communication, engineering education, and sustainability and mission of public universities. Dr. King holds a Sc.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
