Biography:
Kyungok Wun-Kim is a vice president of Samsung Electronics Co., leading the intellectual property prosecution group. Before joining Samsung she led the intellectual property group for central research and development of DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE. Ms. Wun-Kim started her career in DuPont as a research scientist working in the area of in vitro toxicology. After seven years in research she moved to the IP group initially handling biotech related patent procurement as a USPTO certified patent agent. She later led the IP group for CR&D, DuPont before joining Samsung Electronics Co. in Korea. Ms. Wun-Kim holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of California in Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Delaware.
