Biography:
Ralph Atkins has been bureau chief for the Financial Times (FT) in Frankfurt am Main since 2004. He is responsible for the FT's German corporate coverage as well as the coverage of the euro zone economy. Mr. Atkins has a special interest in the European Central Bank and has written extensively on this topic. He also reviews books, e.g. The Euro: The Politics of the New Global Currency by David Marsh. Before joining the FT in Frankfurt, he worked for the FT in London, Bonn, Jerusalem, and Brussels. Mr. Atkins received an M.A. in economics from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge.
