Biography:
Heungchong Kim is the director of the Center for Regional Economic Studies (CRES) at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). Before joining KIEP in 2001, Dr. Kim was an honorary member of Christ Church, University of Oxford. He also served the advisory staff to the deputy prime minister and minister of finance and economy. His expertise lies in European studies, trade policy, regional integration, and social policy issues. Dr. Kim is an author of a variety of publications, including "he Political Economy of European Economic and Monetary Union Negotiations and Implications for East Asia" and "The Asia Strategy of the European Union and Asia-EU Economic Relations: History and New Developments?"(co-author).
