Biography:
Niels Lynggård Hansen is the head of the Economics Department at Denmark's National bank where he is occupied with forecasting, research, economic modeling, international macroeconomics and international relations. He has joined the National bank in 1994. Niels Lynggård Hansen is also a member of several national and international committees and working groups. He is the author of many articles in academic journals on topics such as macroeconomic performance in different monetary-policy regimes, real and nominal wage flexibility, price setting behaviour and inflation expectations. He is also the editor of Danmarks Nationalbank's quarterly monetary bulletin. He holds an M.A. in economics from the University of Copenhagen, a DEA d'économie mathématique et économétrie from theUniversité d'Aix-Marseille and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Aarhus.
