Nancy RUBIN is the United States representative to the United Nations Commission for Human Rights in New York and Geneva. Ms. Rubin served in both the Carter and Clinton administrations, in the United States Department of Agriculture, and in the Corporation for National Service. She chaired the coalition for Women in International Development and was a member of the executive committee and board of directors of OEF International (Overseas Education Fund), which creates economic and social opportunity for women in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Ms. Rubin has also served on the executive committee and board of the International Human Rights Law Group and on the leadership council of Amnesty International. She was a director of the Overseas Development Council, a member of the boards of the Bretton Woods Committee, the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Harvard University's Project for Justice in Times of Transition. Ms. Rubin was a representative at the Fourth UN World Conference on Women in Beijing, the UN Economic and Social Council in Vienna, and at the Third UN Conference on Women where she chaired the Committee on Women, Law, and Development.
